It’s not that no one cares…

It’s not that no one cares, it’s just no one knows what to do!!

It’s not that no one cares, from preacher to absent mothers to doting teachers and self help coaches.
It just that no one really knows what to do to fix the big mess the earth is in!! At the best some bury their heads in the sand or run away, to avoid the pain of reality. At the worse, some claim to have the solution with lofty ideals but unwittingly or sometimes deliberately prey on others. Selah

Both scenarios, and there are more, are only following the flow of nature as it stands today. An amoeba will move away from a region of unpleasant stimulus conversely, a lion will prey on another! C’est la vie!

It seems no amount of motivational training, or positive thinking can change the order of things. Do I sound like the preacher in the book of Ecclesiastis? When he says, “all is folly, just eat, drink and be merry” Aha!

Hence to the dismay of many, clambering at the base of the 3-4-5 triangle.
Scrimping & scratching, and even the guru knows, he or she doesn’t know, and feels like a fraud when eventually reaches out to the ones he seeks to help with a collection tray!

Anyway, what do I know!!!

Sunsets in Leeds

Here comes the sun …

… from cloudy evening skies, from behind the tree, suddenly, here come the dazzling, glistening, glorious sun …

A Spring Sunset

“A Spring Sunset” © Lara Rose 2016

I look out of the window to my right,  my slightly closed eyes are dazzled by the light.

The sparsely covered branches of  trees,
Bear delicate young leaves of pale green.

Colours of red and light blue, a playful Van Gogh palette doth bloom.

Golden rays create a gold plaited sculpture like a giant Greek Adonis launched up to the sky.

“We will shortly be arriving at…”
I’m dreamy, it’s a magical April spring sunset.

X63 or A Wintery Calderdale Valley Sunset

WP_20160222_7362OMG!! Now what an exciting adventurous day I’ve had!!

I wrote this poem inspired by the epic traffic jam aboard the X63 today.

Not sure what to title it.

“The X63”, “A wintery Calderdale valley sunset”, etc! What do you think?

Here goes!

It was a wintery Calderdale Valley sunset.

The X63 slowly wound its way,
from the heights of the Odsal Top and around the Lower Wyke.

The glistening sun in all it’s majesty, like a golden globe, aglow, a magic lantern below.

Playing hide and seek, behind hills and trees.
Now you see me, now you don’t.

To the right of me, its warm embrace
I’m glad today, you linger on my face
We often hurry past
Hurling downhill so fast
Today, we seem to crawl, like a snail on a wall.

For soon, the moon,
to the left of me,
begins to rise, for all to see.
The interplay, the two great bulbs
The sky, to black, from blue, yellow and violet.

It was a wintery Calderdale Valley Moonrise!
